In Kagadi district, Uganda, two unidentified individuals suspected of motorcycle theft were lynched by a mob. The incident occurred in Kambugu village, Kicucura sub-county, on Friday night, where the perpetrators stole a Bajaj motorcycle registered as UFN 290L from a local resident.

According to reports from Uganda Radio Network-URN, after stealing the motorcycle, the suspects attempted to flee towards Hoima town. However, vigilant residents pursued and apprehended them. Two suspects managed to escape, while the captured individuals were subjected to mob violence and subsequently burnt alive.

Julius Hakiza, the police spokesperson for the Albertine region, confirmed the incident, stating that the stolen motorcycle was recovered and is being held as evidence at Kagadi central police station. The remains of the deceased perpetrators were transported to Kagadi general hospital mortuary for postmortem examination and identification.
