The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has announced Monday February 19, 2024, for hearings withheld Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results due to suspected malpractice.
About 749,254 pupils sat for PLE, and those who failed must appear before the Examinations Security Committee to defend their results.
The affected candidates are being invited to the hearings through the District Education officers.
Failure to defend results will lead to cancellation and re-sitting of exams later this year.
Pupils who satisfy the committee will be cleared to proceed to Senior One, This announcement comes in the context of ongoing efforts to address exam malpractice and ensure the integrity of the examination process.
