The tension is increasing every day among politicians who are fighting against cases in the National Electoral Commission of Uganda (ECU) which are in the 2026 parliamentary nomination.

The electoral commission’s complaints include people not having the sixth grade students’ qualifications, others to use non-corruption documents, others to use fake signatures while others are registering for non-constructive constituencies in the country’s plan
In this analysis,some have been expelled from their registration positions.
Jayne Kalumba, who was nominated to contest for the Gomba West seat and Ayen Ernest, who was nominated for the National National Executive Council (NELSher Uganda), were the latest expelled from the race.
Jayne Kaljmba has been expelled from the contest for lack of education.
In the judgment of Judge Simon Byabakama Mugenyi, the chairman of the Electoral Commission’s commission he had written in a statement he was running with his lawyers himself, he said that when Jayne Kalumba was registering he used Degree’s qualifications that he received from the University of Uganda Pentecostal University.
However, that Degree denied the university that it was unaware of it, and then Candidate remained without any other cut documents to remain in the race ,the committee was dismissed.
Another expel from the race was Ayen Ernest, who was running for the youth in parliament from the northern part of the country, has been accused of changing the age and resurface.

Other cases still pending in the committee include , Sodo Aine Kaguta, the younger candidate for the Mawogala North seat on the NRM card.
Others are Hajji Ali Mulyanyama who is running for the NUP card for the Makindye East seat, Brigadier Emmanuel Rwashande who is running for the Lwemiyaga seat and Mathias Mulumba Walukagga who is allegedly undocumented for the six sixth graders who pending a person to contest for the parliamentary seat
Others include that of Joel Ssenyonyi, Nakawa West MP and David Sserukenya of Makindye Municipality, Ssabagabo, who are allegedly registering for constituency which are not there in the laws of the country.
