The government has announced that the savings of the 2024 budget have increased by 18%, compared to the 2023 budget.

Ritah Faith Nansasi, acting President of the Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority (URBRA), told the media center that Ugandans have increased their efforts in saving for their old age.
Minister of Finance and National Planning Matia Kasaija, urged Ugandans who are not yet active to save more for their old age, because the old age without money is very destructive.
