Police in Kampala are looking for a suspected security guard to be taken to court on charges of murder.
On Monday afternoon, an officer shot and killed the driver of a Townace UAX 480C truck near the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala on Kintu Road.
The officer was allegedly in a police convoy, so he asked Townace’s driver to step aside but when he refused as the road was full of bodabodas, the officer got out of the convoy and shot him dead.
After killing the driver, he got a bodaboda to escape to avoid being harmed and his fellow officers arrested him.
