Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has joined the concert organizers in saying that she will no longer take Gravity Omutujju to her concerts if people are complaining about her songs and bad behaviour.

Nabbanja was speaking on TV yesterday when asked about the terrorist Gravity whose songs were banned by the Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga.

Nabbanja says that although she uses Gravity a lot at government and caucus functions she doesn’t enjoy music as much as she does for ordinary people and if they get tired of her, she will never use him again.

Nabbanja said, she will talk to Gravity to see if he changes his music.

The move comes as some concert organizers have said they have removed Gravity and Lil Pazo from the Christmas concerts for their treacherous songs.

Gravity in response to the Katikkiro’s criticism, but online responded that he is not insulting and the Katikkiro has many issues that concern Ugandans that he should talk about rather than banning his songs.

The comments stirred up a lot of controversy as Gravity used insulting language against the Prime Minister.

The organizers condemned Gravity’s behavior and said they would abide by the decision not to bring the singers to any concerts.

The organizer Musa Kavuma, commonly known as KT said that if he cannot cooperate with someone he is insulting the reputation of Buganda and Uganda as a whole. He emphasized the Chief Minister’s statement that insulting those artists is not where they will make money.

Abbey Musinguzi, commonly known as Abtex said he has already removed the two artistes from all his Christmas concerts and said the Luganda language in which Gravity sings originates from Mmengo where the Katikkiro is one of its leaders.

Balaam Barugahare, who is also the Minister of Youth Affairs, reminded Gravity to respect the elders and asked him to apologize to the Katikkiro.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango said they had received a request from the artists’ association to invite the artistes and would invite them to perform soon
