Government has started calculating all students in Uganda – has started in Greater Kampala

The Ministry of Education and the National Statistics Authority (UBOS has started registering all students in schools in the country.

Deputy Minister of Primary Education Joyce Moriku Kaducu, speaking at the Media Center in Kampala, said the campaign has started in the three districts that make up Greater Kampala, Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono.

The Minister said they want to register all students in the country by the end of June.

The shs 27 billion government has donated to the scheme, by leaving school from school to register.

Vincent Ssozi, Deputy Commissioner for Stages and Investigations at the Ministry of Education and Sports, said the initiative will help them to know the number of students and schools in the country, and to talk directly with students, the conditions in which schools are in, which will enable them to further prepare and improve education in the country.

They will count students from the first to train to higher universities, and schools have been asked to allow teams to be sent to their schools to do the work to bring them there.
