DEPUTY RDC TORORO WARNS CONTRACTORS AGAINST DELAYED AND STALLED WORKS.

During monitoring and oversight visit to UGIFT-funded projects under the World Bank in Tororo municipality, together with teams from UGIFT and Tororo municipal council technical and political leaders we noted delayed and stalled works namely Kyaminula Health Center II upgrade where works stalled, at Aturukuku Seed School works are also moving at snail pace ever since the site was handed over to the contractor and at Uganda Cooperative College the construction work of the new administration and classro.

Deputy RDC Tororo AMula Albert, he has put the contractors on notice to ensure that they fast-track the completion of work since the financial year is coming to an end and this time round money for development projects in health and well-being education should be absorbed instead of returning monies to the consolidated fund every financial year.

I have put the contractor of the Kyaminula Health Center II upgrade on notice that he risks being held accountable for failing the government to fulfill its social contract with the people.
