The Uganda National Examinations Board-UNEB has apprehended Lilian Ayebazibwe, the headteacher of Bubaale Primary School in Bushenyi, and handed her over to the police for issuing 114 of her former candidates with false results.
Ayebazibwe had appeared for a hearing at UNEB in Kampala due to suspected malpractice, resulting in the withholding of exam results for 114 candidates.
Information obtained from UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule revealed that during the hearing, it was discovered that the school administrators provided fake results to candidates on testimonials forms. Kalule mentioned that UNEB learned that all 114 affected candidates used these testimonials with inaccurate results to enroll in senior one.
